On our way home we went to Walt Disney World and Universal Studios in Florida.
Going out on a high!
Our friends Simon and Erin McFairbarneany were already there and we met them at the hotel we were all staying at.
We were pretty exhausted after flying from Auckland to Los Angeles then onto Orlando. It had taken us 26 hours, but thanks to time differences we arrived just three hours after leaving New Zealand.
That completely melted my mind, and jetlag was a feature of our six days in the theme parks second only to FUN FUN FUN!
On the first day we went to Hollywood Studios.
That evening we went to an all you can eat pizza buffet with MASSIVE Cokes.
The next day we went to EPCOT, which was ace.
After EPCOT we went to Animal Kingdom, another Disney park.
Next up was Universal Studios. We’d been to the one in Singapore earlier on in our trip, and the Orlando version did not disappoint.

The Rock and Roll coaster. You can choose your own soundtrack. Gavin chose U Can't Touch This, then screamed like a girl the whole way around. Erin wisely stayed on the ground
The next day was Universal’s other park – Islands of Adventure. This had one major draw, The Wizarding World of Harry Potter. It was truly amazing.
Agreed wife!
Saving the best for last, we went to Disney’s Magic Kingdom on the last day.
And then that was that. The end of our trip!
We’ll write about coming home and all that in a little while, but now you’re all up to date with what’s what, who’s who and where’s where. The countdown to real life has begun, and we’re excited about it.
Once we’re over jetlag we’ll let you all know which pub to meet us in for a welcome home beer and wine.
Looking forward to it already!

We miss Disney! It was so much fun and great to see you guys.

Did Simon bore you about how he and Kevin starred in Disney Studio’s clip from ‘Honey I shrunk the kids’? Unfortunately it was before the days of DVDs, so we didn’t get to keep a copy! ;-( Glad you all had such a great time at Disneyworld!
